Career Strategy, Career Change

Successful careers do not happen, they are caused – by design. If what you want for your career is something other than a linear progression to what you’ve been doing during the past three/four years, we can help you.

A career is not just something you do, it is part of who you are. Career coaching is an investment in you and in your future self-fulfillment and happiness.

Our Focus

The career issues we have successfully helped clients with in the past include:

  • Career Strategy and navigating career progression
  • Career drift
  • Career change
  • Going solo
  • Relationship issues, life transitions
  • Burnout, life balance and other.

Our philosophy

What you do for a living plays a big part in shaping who you are – your identity. Changing your career means changing your identity and so is best considered within your full life context.

Although the notion of finding our ‘ideal’ job is a myth, properly planned, we can reasonably expect our career to be fulfilling and to provide us with the opportunity to realize our potential and be rewarded for it. After all, our work accounts for almost half of our waking hours.

Life lends us an opportunity to express ourselves, to be authentic in what we do. Enjoyable work is that which allows us to express our ‘true’ selves while contributing. At Dynamic Connections, we help our clients to strategically navigate their career journey towards such fulfilment.

Our Approach

The process starts from where you are, taking a realty check on your broader context and what your career/life goals and needs are. Options are developed in the light of your resources, your changing context, the market reality and likely future trends.

Typically, most clients find a dual-track approach works best for them, incorporating some job-crafting of their current work role, while segwaying their way into their new career.

What many of our clients appreciate is the work we do in helping them to address not only the functional obstacles that they encounter in the change process but also emotional barriers.

Unconscious Obstacles to Change

Often the biggest challenge we must overcome to change is ‘ourselves’: our self-doubts, our fear of failure, our lack of confidence, what others might think of us etc. Through building their awareness and coping strategies, clients are better equipped and informed to tackle such obstacles. Our belief is that ‘in order to become that which you aspire to, you must first become who you are.’
